Guardian Unlimited | World Latest | Clear Channel Head 'Ashamed' of Programs: "``I could blow my stack. I'm trying to be cryptic,'' he said. ``To tell you the truth, I don't know what's going on. They are so afraid of me and what this show represents.'' "

The irony is thick. Have the terrorists won? I thought they hated us because of our freedom. I am confused.

A childlike man is not a man whose development has been arrested; on
the contrary, he is a man who has given himself a chance of
continuing to develop long after most adults have muffled themselves
in the cocoon of middle aged habit and convention.

MSNBC - Wedded Bliss Awesome link, again. I have to give credit to the doctor again. He is the man. www.talkingpointsmemo.com

President Calls for Constitutional Amendment Protecting Marriage Scary looking. Scary hearing.

www.AndrewSullivan.com - Daily Dish: "The president launched a war today against the civil rights of gay citizens and their families. And just as importantly, he launched a war to defile the most sacred document in the land."

Had to write in with this one. Great little rumor floating around the office.

Dragon lady had a mental breakdown sometime around October and lost all her direct reports. She was not supposed to be able to get any reports ever again because of these issues. I now work for her. That is awesome.

Page 2 - The Antidote to What Ails America: "Daly's life is a par-5. And he always goes for it in 2.
Don't you love it?"

USATODAY.com - 'Passion' stars back Gibson amid controversy: "'You know, if I was Billy Graham, I'd have preached. If I was Jackson Pollock, I'd have painted,' he says. 'But I have one good trick: that's filmmaking, and that's how I express myself. This (movie) is my meditation.'"

Famous words?

TOMPAINE.com - Base Motives. Amazing blog. Thanks for the heads-up Doc.

DimeMag.com: Smack'The things that Kevin Garnett was doing last night was just filthy. Step back jumpers, up and under lay-ups, spinning hooks, and more absurdities. We are honestly amazed every time we watch him.'

Couldnt have said it better. Filthy.

One other quick little story from Yvette. She and the dragon lady go back 14-15 years. For 6.5 years she dated and lived with dragon lady's sister (you read it right). The rumor from her is that dragon lady is known as a pathological lier, even by her own family. Found out most of this from her and then she says to me, I will tell you a secret. .... This guy who is working feverishly for dragon lady now, who the dragon lady told me she has known 14 years, is also dragon ladies former boyfriend. One night while they were all out (dragon lady, her sister, Yvette, and feverish dude) Yvette made out with feverish dude. Tangled web at work.

Just got the new Warren Zevon. It is a decent album. I don't know why, but artists or I guess anyone dying, makes their work that much more signifigant. Well, maybe not mine. :)

Move days at work are great. We didn't have to go in today and the big joke around the office, to me and maybe one other person, was that we were told that we couldn't work from home now anymore so what to do?

Last night we went for drinks after work. It was a going away party, or a sorry you got fired party, for this really really nice lady Rosa. It is pretty depressing. The story is that she was working for the new bosses boss lady who seems to think that she is the shit and told Rosa to go get a coffee and a coke or something. Rosa went to go get it and came back and then told her that she was not a maid so please, next time get your own fucking coke (emphasis mine). I guess that was the end.

At this going away party this lady who had been my absolute sworn enemy at work, Yvette, apologized to me and I am pretty sure she told me that I do a good job. Over all the money, though money is nice, and other recognition it is quiet times like this, between two people, that mean the most to me.

**** Full disclosure: Yvette is a little crazy. And she was drunk. You may hear more about her later if I don't get fired first. I still take the compliment though.

Have a good fucking weekend (emphasis mine).

MSNBC - New British invasion -- but this one sings of global warming. Good for them. Question is: how long will this standing ally and friend last as such when they confront the industrial America about what really is the most pressing problem facing our world.

The Konformist - The Silence of Bill Hicks

Guardian Unlimited | Arts features | Last laugh: John Lahr's tribute to Bill Hicks

"It seems like they would support sexual thoughts, you know, perhaps even have a centrefold in the Bible. Miss Deuteronomy. Turn offs: floods, locusts, smokers. I actually did that joke in Alabama, right. These three rednecks met me after the show, man. 'Hey, buddy! Come here. Hey, Mr Comedian! Come here. Hey, buddy, we're Christians, we don't like what you said.' I said, 'Then forgive me.' It seemed so obvious. You know? But we've gotta have an enemy, man. I'm tired of enemies; I'll be honest with you. I'm sick of enemies. I got no fucking enemies, K? K. It's a strange world; I don't know what we choose, why we choose the things we do as a collective. You ever wondered that? You know what I mean, the fact that we live in a world where John Lennon was murdered, yet Milli Vanilli walks the fucking planet. You know? Bad choice. Just from me to you, it wasn't a good one. But isn't that weird, we always kill the guys who try to help us. Isn't that strange, that we let the little demons run amok, always? John Lennon: murdered. John Kennedy: murdered. Martin Luther King: murdered. Gandhi: murdered. Jesus: murdered. Reagan... wounded. You know. Bad fucking choice."

MSNBC - Buick Invitational win greatest for Daly

Brother,
Please take a look at this. This shows that we all have hope, like you, like John. The emotion that was there on the 18th was not clouded by alchohol. It was pure and it was joy. It cannot simply be expressed in words. It is there for both of us. It is there for you just like it is there now, for John.

John,
I hope it continues. I think I see even more in that sweet stroke today than in days past. And I like you having the balls to pull out that 3W. Good, good stuff my man. Even if this was enough for you, for today and for a long while you are a hero.

“Go! Go!” Indeed.

Most contentious story ever told

ic Wales - US actor in passionate defence. Why not also talk about other points of the movie? Why not be honest? That this movie pushes an extreme catholism that in fact is even more destructive than the catholism you know now. Braveheart was great, this shit stinks and shows once again what a fucked up place hollyweird is.

Forgot. Have not updated you about work or the dragon lady. Well, if I told you you wouldn't believe me. I have been thinking about a spy cam to make a documentary, but hear I might have some legal problems?

Good stuff. Maybe now a little truth?

Thank you for stopping back by. How long has it been? It seems like a while.

Just read a note from my mom that has kind of got me bummed. I guess she is going into AA now. It seems like another drama queen move, but it seems like it is more than that and I have to imagine it has to do with my brother. She was always very attached to him, but unfortunately he is attracted to other things. He has the most addictive personality that may have ever been and unfortunately he is addicted to things bad for his health.

Boy it is hard to write about these things. See how stiff I get even in my writing. Man. Fucking a. On another note, my girl, Jess, is one of the most beautiful people in the world. I hope you each (my two faithful readers) get to meet her one of these days. She is light.

Okay, that rant after the rant helped. I think I am back to me. You fuckers got to go see this shit. I hope that works, but if not just poke around here and you will find some good stuff. Man is simply funny. 2nd season is even better than the first.

Sit back, relax and watch a little of the Chappelle Show. It is the cure for what ails you. If that doesnt work try a bit of scotch, with water. Don't drink too many of them though or you might just have to attend a meeting. Can I joke like that anymore?

Smell the coffee my good man. You and the other residents are going down for this. Either that or it is our country that is going down. I prefer the former.

Good shiznit.

He may be the best out there. Consistent great reading. Definetely not like this blog, profuse orca.

Ok, it might be hard to understand, but the one person who was holding our group together, Ms. Elders, has been blamed for the troubles and moved out of her position and is now my peer (last week she was my boss). If you are counting at home that means that I have had 8 or 9 managers in just over 2 years. It seems incredible and possibly even a mis-print. It is not.

So, to recap. We had a successful team going alone doing our thing (references for our company) and suddenly a new mind-set took hold at the company along with some new leadership. They decided, I have to assume here, that we were not doing enough work so they want to change our core mission to satisfaction, but have us keep doing our previous job(s). No real incentives given for taking on this new responsiblity, but the worst part is that they simply are not listening and/or communicating during this extended (going on 8 months?) transition period. Keep in mind that the new 'leadership' is new to the company and as best I can tell new to the game that we were (are?) playing.

I will keep you updated as we have a day long meeting tomorrow where I am sure everything will be ironed out :) but until then remember this stunning wall we are putting around the customers that we talk to, thanks to the new dear boss, 'We will not call customers in the sales cycle.' Oy.
