CITIZEN-TIMES.com: U.S. has both a moral and practical interest in getting Haiti on its feet: "The death toll from Tropical Storm Jeanne may reach 2,000 and hungry residents are rioting in the northern port city of Gonaives. The government has neither the people nor the means of getting relief where it is needed. Armed gangs control much of the countryside and the urban poor remain resentful that their champion, former President Jean- Bertrand Aristide, was driven from power in February."
