Myth and Denial in the War Against Terrorism: Just why do terrorists terrorize?: "George W. and others of his administration may or may not believe what they tell the world about the motivations behind anti-American terrorism, but, as in the examples just given, some officials, at least in effect, have questioned the party line for years. A Department of Defense study in 1997 concluded: 'Historical data show a strong correlation between US involvement in international situations and an increase in terrorist attacks against the United States.'"
A so far interesting read that OBL refers to in his recent tape.
What I find most interesting is one of the first lies of George W.s that I remember and that is during the campaign talking of how we were going to work to bring more of our troops back stateside and not be so engaged around the world. It seems with that, and with his talk and early policies about the environment, the puppet master pulled his strings in a different way.
