My Life as a Dog - New York Times: "Living on a planet of fixed size requires compromise, and while we are the only party capable of negotiating, we are not the only party at the table. We’ve never claimed more, and we’ve never had less. There has never been less clean air or water, fewer fish or mature trees. If we are not simply ignoring the situation, we keep hoping for (and expecting) a technological solution that will erase our destruction, while allowing us to continue to live without compromise. Maybe zoos will be an adequate replacement for wild animals in natural habitats. Maybe we will be able to recreate the Amazon somewhere else. Maybe one day we will be able to genetically engineer dogs that do not wish to run free. Maybe. But will those futures make us feel, in the best sense of the word, human?"

Study Predicts Extreme Weather Changes - Newsweek Technology - MSNBC.com

Sad to read - we continue to just REPORT on the end of the world as we know it... no action yet folks.

Anyway, wanted to write in real quick to say that I had a great trip out to Hawaii last week but talk about weather extremes: I have gone from 85 degrees to 30 degree weather in just a few days. Crazy.

Well one good thing about Rummy firing is that people from the military at least feel free to tell the truth, here. It is too bad we have got ourselves in such a mess... I hope we can figure out the best way out of this.

From a press conference today:

I hope all ye peons are happy with your, cough, victory. We have allowed you to perhaps 'control' a neutered, docile HoR - congratulations and enjoy it while it lasts. Please pay no attention to the fact that a proposition such as 87 in California failed when it is only fair and right that perhaps some of our wealthiest companies help to push our technology forward such that we no longer need to fight great wars for awesome reasons (like a need for oil). God bless ye fuckers - get your hatches ready, dig your holes, mother nature stalks.

Olbermann: Where are the checks, balances? - Countdown with Keith Olbermann - MSNBC.com: "Sir, you have been making this up as you went along."

No truer words about the subject.

The Dilbert Blog: Electronic Voting Machines

Pretty funny, but sad that it is kinda like: shit, I am not sure what it all means but I hope whoever hacks this shit gets it right. Unreal. Democracy, such a quaint, cute idea - it would be nice to have it back.

On another note, blogging is pretty silly isn't it? Whats that? You say, only when I do it? Well, @#$% you. Ok, peace be upon you.
